Winged eyeliner…it seems like everyone wants this trendy new look but aren’t so sure how to achieve it. It took me forever to learn how to do it, and sometimes it’s still a little tricky. But with practice and patience, anyone can achieve this cute look.
So what’s the big deal with winged eyeliner anyway? All it takes is a flick of your hand to make it happen, but the affect it has is so much greater than that. It gives your eyes a little extra flare instead of just stopping your eyeliner with a blunt end. It makes your eyes appear bigger and more cat like. It also makes your eyes look more awake, especially if you have downturned eyes.
The hardest part of this process is figuring out your eye shape and the method that will work best for you. For example, I have hooded eyes and I was trying to do winged eyeliner in a way that was best suited for another eye shape. Once I found a video specifically for winged eyeliner for hooded eyes, it changed the way I did my eyeliner and I am now much better at it.
Another tip when doing winged eyeliner is to pick an eyeliner with a firm, felt tip. This allows for more control and will help you drawing on the wing. Once you understand how to use a felt tip, other forms of eyeliner won’t be a problem for you.
